2025 WorldSSP title contender Booth-Amos re-signs with PTR Triumph for 2026
‘TBA’ has a race win to his name this season and, ahead of his home round, has secured his future in World Supersport
British star Tom Booth-Amos has secured his place on the 2026 FIM Supersport World Championship grid after re-signing for PTR Triumph Factory Racing for next season. The #69 has taken steps forward every year since his WorldSSP debut in 2022, taking a first podium last season and adding a first win to his name this year. With his future secured, the 29-year-old can focus on returning to the top step of the rostrum.
Booth-Amos first made his name inside the WorldSBK paddock in 2020 when he competed in WorldSSP300. He was immediately competitive from the start, and he took five rostrums and one win in his first season, finishing sixth in the standings. He remained with the RT Motorsports by SKM squad for 2021 and mounted a title challenge, with eight podiums and two wins in 13 races as he finished second behind Adrian Huertas.
His performances secured him a spot in WorldSSP for 2022, linking up with Prodina Racing WorldSSP where he finished 23rd in the standings overall and sixth in the WorldSSP Challenge out of seven riders. Another big step came in 2023 when he moved to Motozoo ME AIR Racing, remaining on the Kawasaki ZX-6R, as he finished 15th overall and won the WorldSSP Challenge title. He combined his world stage exploits with a British Supersport campaign, taking second in the domestic series.
A new chapter started for Booth-Amos in 2024 as he made the move to PTR Triumph on the Street Triple RS 765 and his first podium came at Cremona in Race 2 when he finished in third place. Tenth in the standings secured his place on this year’s grid and the Brit has made another step forward, claiming a first win in WorldSSP in Race 2 at Phillip Island. After six rounds of 2025, Booth-Amos sits fifth in the Championship standings with one win and five rostrums. More continuity will come for Booth-Amos as he has now signed for Team Manager Simon Buckmaster’s team once again, taking him to a third campaign with the squad as he looks to improve on an already impressive record this season.
Discussing his 2026 contract, Booth-Amos said: “I’m thrilled to be staying with PTR Triumph for another year. We have made good improvements and progress this year and it just made sense to build on the strong results and continue that into 2026. I hope to finish the year off strong and take that momentum into next season.”
Buckmaster added: “It is great news to announce the re-signing of Tom Booth-Amos for a third year with our PTR Triumph team. Tom’s been having a great season, challenging for this year’s title. We are looking forward to a great second half of 2025 and building together to improve the bike in every way we can to continue to challenge in 2026. Also, to be able to announce this at our home round gives the whole team confidence and continuity going forwards.”
Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer, Triumph Motorcycles stated: “Tom’s results this year speak for themselves. He’s proven his talent with multiple podiums and his fantastic first win on the Street Triple 765 RS. It’s been a pleasure to watch him grow with the team and to see the bike performing at such a high level in World Supersport. We’re excited to continue with Tom in 2026 and of course it is a great occasion to be able to make this announcement at Donington for a British rider, on a British Bike in a British team.”
